Tadpole T-Ball Adventure

The sun is coming out (and trying to stay out), everything is looking greener, and I am wearing white pants and digging my wedges out of the back of the closet- that can only mean one thing...it's finally SPRING!!  YAHOO! With spring comes little league and t-ball.  My oh-so-adorable nephew, Jonah, played his first t-ball game yesterday, and naturally I took waaayyy too many pictures.  Since these tadpoles are still young (about 4 years old), it was generally just chaos with the kiddos running around with no idea what is going on, but boy was it cute. As previously mentioned, I took what might seem like an inappropriate amount of pictures (He better get used to his Aunt Jo and her camera...and I better enjoy it while he lets me take his picture - I know he will be too cool one day!).  Here are a few of my favorites... fielding grounders with great form! Papa and Joanna! Listening during a team huddle *melt* giving Aunt Jo a grin! very conc...

a DIY Peter Rabbit inspired Baby Shower

Oh, man!  Is everyone you know having babies, or is it just me?  Whew!  There must be something in the water down here in H-Town ;) Anyway, this weekend a few friends of mine threw a baby shower for our dear friend, Natalie.  Since none of the hostesses have houses ( ha! ), my mom kindly let us use her home for the shower, and since her home is beautiful as is, we wanted to keep the decorations minimal.  All the decorations were DIY - and turned out so well!  The shower was a success, and most of all we were able to shower Natalie and baby boy Owens ( who is still nameless ) with lots and lots 'o love and presents.  The theme of Natalie's nursery is Peter Rabbit, so we kind of took that and let it inspire us - from the invitations with bunnies on them, to the green on the invites/banner and décor.  We also incorporated little bunnies throughout the house.  It really turned out great. Here are just...

Hubby and me after Christmas Eve service at church   We gave Jonah a scooter - here he is trying it out!   Joanna girl got a monogrammed chair, among other things, and was happy to sit right in it.   Our only photo on Christmas Day, and it was a selfie.   Jonah is proud of his tent!   Libby girl with her chair and her Lady Bug girl doll.   Our 2 sickies :(   Let the pickle hunt begin!   I WON!!!  I ...

Summer Television...are you in?

OK, so admittedly we probably watch too much TV.  ( Please don't judge! )  But Summer TV?  The best, in my opinion.  I have to go ahead and say, the USA channel has some of the best original series' ever!  I've listed below the shows that we love watching together, and this day-in-age if we both like a show it's rare. Covert Affairs - From the creator of the Bourne movies (which we have seen a zillion and a half times), this show is great!  It's an action packed hour about a female spy (go girl!) who is strong-willed and knows how to get things done.  But it's not just for the girls!  Hubby like it, too. Graceland - This is a new series this year.  It stars one of the guys from Les Miserables , Aaron Tveit, so naturally, I'm in.  Though he's not singing in this show, it is a fun new show about several different government agencies (FBI, CIA, DEA...) that have undercover agents living under one roof in California...definitely an in...

Friday's Letters

Hello again, Friday!  This week has been particularly long, so I'm glad you've come.  Let's hurry it up to 5:00, please! Dad just about to walk me down the aisle. Dear Dad (pic above):   You are the best!  I am proud to call you mine...even though you still have that silly mustache of yours.  Happy Father's Day to the best one I know.  P.S.  This is one of my favorite pictures ever! Dear Mom (pic below):   I didn't write a letter near Mother's Day...my bad!  You are the best, too!  Happy belated Mother's Day - let's wear our matching tunics soon, k? (jk) Mom and Me on our wedding day. D ear (Low)Back:   You've had a herniated disc or 2 since you were 15 and you've been behaving recently.  Were you bored?  Why did you throw yourself out and pinch my nerve last weekend?  I'm still recovering .  Enough, already. Dear Summer Break :  I remember when I first realized that my dad didn't get you....

Happy Anniversary to us!

4 years ago I got to marry the handsome guy I call hubby.  It hasn't been all roses and sunshine since, and I think anyone who tells you to expect otherwise is crazy (or they haven't been married).  But rest assured, we have we come a long way and learned a lot.  Here's to many more years, I love you, W! xoxo
